We’re very proud to present you the winner of the international design contest launched in collaboration with Lavazza.
The call was primarily addressed to graphic designers and illustrators, however any profile was welcome to take part in the contest. In fact, 83 people from all around the world took up the challenge and presented their graphics for the various models of vending machines branded by the company, submitting 103 proposals.
The main theme was based on the brand image of Lavazza and its values, including the “Italianness” and the premium quality of their blend. Given the typology of vending machines, participants had also to take into consideration in what context their graphics would be used – that is working environments (companies, offices, etc.) and public spaces (stations, hospitals, universities, shopping malls etc.).
This implied great efforts in making their graphics meaningful and relevant to such a broad audience, thus drawing great visibility to the Lavazza brand and heritage. In addition, the objective of the graphics was also to foster a proximity-driven consumption and a more informed consumption for the final user.
